Reviews and Ratings
We had a fantastic stay in a beautiful lodge with plenty of space, modern amenities, and a private hot tub—definitely a great escape for relaxation. The location was perfect, just a short drive from local attractions, and the kitchen was well-equipped for our cooking needs. However, we did encounter cleanliness issues in one lodge, which was a significant downside, but the staff handled the situation well by moving us to a much newer lodge.
We had a lovely four-day stay at Lodge 52, a Cheddar Lodge Premier with two bedrooms and a hot tub. The serene surroundings were beautiful, and the lodge itself was clean and cozy. However, the check-in process was quite frustrating due to long queues, and we faced several issues with the equipment in the lodge and dining services. Despite these challenges, the overall experience was enjoyable, particularly the spa services.
The resort is set in a peaceful environment, ideal for exploring beautiful nearby attractions like Cheddar Gorge and Bath. While the amenities and staff interactions were pleasant, the lodge itself needed some attention to cleanliness and maintenance, making the experience less luxurious than expected. Overall, it was a decent getaway, but there are areas that could greatly improve.
I had a mixed experience during my spa day package. The facilities had numerous issues, with the pool closed longer than expected and some malfunctioning lights. However, the staff was nice, and the lunch was enjoyable. Overall, while the services were lacking, the kindness of the team helped ease some of the frustration.
